Lokayukta raids top forest official in Madhya Pradesh, recovers ‘assets worth Rs. 40 crore’

Bhopal: The Lokayukta police today raided Chief Conservator of Forests Basant Kumar Singh’s homes in Ujjain and Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh and reportedly found assets worth over Rs. 40 crore.

The list of alleged undeclared assets includes a petrol pump and a posh house in Varanasi, Rs. 7 lakh in cash and land in Uttar Pradesh.
