Temperature rise in Himachal, rain expected Monday
SHIMLA: The hills of Himachal Pradesh experienced slightly warm weather Sunday and the state’s Una town recorded a high of 35 degrees Celsius, an official said. But the Met office here forecast rains and thundershowers soon.
“The maximum temperature across the state increased by two to three degrees and the minimum rose by one to two degrees in last 24 hours, mainly due to lack of rains,” an official from the weather office told IANS
The meteorological department, however, said a fresh western disturbance – a weather system originating in the Mediterranean region – is likely to be active in the region from Monday with a possibility of rain in low and mid hills and snow in higher reaches of the state.
He said Shimla’s maximum temperature was 22.4 degrees Celsius.-More
