Wharton School cancels Modi’s address at India Economic Forum

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi‘s keynote address at the prestigious Wharton India Economic Forum later this month was cancelled on Sunday after it was vehemently opposed by sections of Wharton professors, students and other stakehProfessors and students who opposed the talk, in a petition said Mr. Modi didn’t do enough to stop the 2002 communal riots that killed over 1,000 people, most of them Muslim, an accusation he has denieD.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has been invited to deliver a lecture at Wharton India Economic Forum on Tuesday. Whether Rahul Gandhi has accepted the invitation is yet to be confirmed.
