St. Bedes College Student Ankita Chaterjee Has Made it Up To Youth Brigade Chandigarh

St. Bedes College, Shimla student Ankita Chaterjee is one among the five youngsters selected as representatives of the Youth Brigade of Chandigarh City. Last month there was an online poll done to select these representatives on a social media site and with a great number of votes our own Shimla girl made it up to the team. As a Youth Brigade member, the task of the team will be to create awareness among people. Right now they have been assigned a task and Ankita is enthusiastic to finish it up within the assigned time which is three months. Talking to Shimla Wanderers, Ankita said,

“Chandigarh, one of India’s finest cities, is plagued by the menace of people throwing liquor bottles on the road after drinking. Broken bottles litter roads, markets and pedestrian walkways. The Youth Brigade will now take on the task of spreading awareness and educating the public on this issue in areas such as Sector 8, 22, 35 and places near Sukhna Lake.”

It is very important for the youth to come up and spread awareness in society and we are proud of Ankita Chaterjee for taking this initiative. All the best from team Himachal Watcher, we are sure you will be successful in creating awareness in society which will add to some positive change.
