Free Kasol Cafe allegedly refuses to serve Indians, faces infuriated responses on social media
After a Facebook post alleged Free Kasol Café in Kasol, Himachal Pradesh of discrimination with Indians, social media is buzzing with infuriated responses. According to the post on Stephen Kaye’s wall, one of his Indian friends was denied service by the Café owner, who is an Indian himself.
While the owner claimed that the café is for members only, Kaye posted that the real reason was discrimination on the basis of ethnicity. The café prefers to serve foreigners or white skin people. The post also alleged that when asked for explanation, the owner tried to shoo them and shouted,
“It is my cafe and can do what I want.”
Some people claimed to have filed complaints to authorities regarding the same, however, there is no authentic evidence regarding it. A group of people is of the opinion that domestic tourists and locals create nuisance in such cafes or restaurants which are favorites of foreign tourists.
So far, no newspaper or mainstream media has confirmed the allegations, but on social media, readers appear to be convinced regarding the discrimination.

Another member of the group that faced discrimination wrote, “So, some Israelis have set up a cafe called Free Kasaul in Kasaul, and deny Indians admission. Our friend was denied entry but her friend, who is white, could walk right in.”
