Shimla Police tightens grip on drug peddlers, dealers, suppliers
Shimla- Shimla police would launch a special drive against drug trafficking and would crack down on drug peddlers, dealers, suppliers and growers of psychotropic drugs and substances.
Shimla police has registered 19 cases under NDPS during the month of January, arrested 22 people and recovered 11-Kg of charas (cannabis), 1100 tablets of Nitrosun 10, 100 bottles of cough syrup (Corex), 4.22 gms of heroin, 500 Grams of opium and 100 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon during the month of January 2016 and more recoveries would be made during the drive, SP, Shimla DW Negi said.
Negi said drugs producers, suppliers and peddlers would be on the police radar.
Intelligence network is also being strengthened to identify the people involved in drug trade and cooperation of local people is also being sought, he added.
