Watch: Another Shimla Shoplifter caught on CCTV

SHIMLA- Another shoplifter was caught on CCTV stealing goods from a shop in Shimla city while his other accomplice distracted the shopkeeper. The shoplifters were driving a white color Tata Tiago and were probably locals, as per the owner.

The owner of the New Bemloe Store located at Bemloe in Shimla sent the video to Himachal Watcher and told that two people, who were drunk, came into his shop at about 8:30 PM and pretended to be regular consumers.

I noticed that the activity of one of the man was suspicious, but I could not figure out what exactly he was trying to do until I went through the CCTV footage,

told the owner to Himachal Watcher.

According to the owner, they succeeded in stealing a pack of 2 KG India Gate basmati rice worth Rs. 499. They were looking to lift more stuff but didn’t succeed as he had started noticing their suspicious behavior, said the shopkeeper. Before the shopkeeper could figure out the shoplifting by going through CCTV footage, the two men drove off in their car. Unfortunately, the shopkeeper could not note the number, neither it was visible in the other CCTV camera due to darkness.

The shopkeeper will file an FIR along with forwarding the CCTV footage to the police.

Earlier, in June, 2016 a female and two girls were caught on CCTV stealing a pair of shoes from the Woodland Store located on the Shimla Mall.
