Shimla town celebrates Holi despite chilly weather – Pictures
SHIMLA- Chilly conditions in capital Shimla somewhat spoiled this year’s Holi celebration for many but not for all. The drop in temperature due to recent spell of snow deterred several people from coming out and celebrating Holi. Obviously, except children most of the people avoided water. By afternoon, as the sun shined, people got a window to celebrate the festival of colors. Himachal Watcher has a few images to depict the atmosphere in Shimla town on holi.
Winter like conditions could hardly discourage children to surrender their water-cannons and colors.

Foreign tourist always find the festival of colors charming and its evident from this group of foreigners celebrating it.
Every year, a function is organized at the S.D. Senior Secondary School premises in which scenes from Sudama-Krishna reunion and Radha dancing with Lord Krishna are recreated.
For local pahari people, the celebrations would be incomplete without Natti, traditional dance of Himachal. Groups of youth were visible singing pahari songs and dancing to it on the Shimla Ridge.
Everyone appeared to carry the mark of holi celebration – colors.
