HPU UG Admissions

Shimla-The Himachal Pradesh University has decided to extend the date of applying for admission to Under Graduate classes for 2019-20 session. The decision was taken after considering the view of the principals of various colleges and applications submitted by students.

The Vice-Chancellor issued a notification on July 25, which said that those students who could not apply for admission to UG classes due to some reason, could now submit their applications upto July 31, 2019.

However, the notification said, no extension would be granted after July 31 in any condition.

Meanwhile, the students of fourth and sixth semester continue to face inconvenience due to their undeclared or unsettled results. Students organizations continue to meet varsity authorities demanding relief for these students.

Also, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today submitted a memorandum to the varsity Registrar, demanding to lower the passing percentage for UG students of the 2015-18 session to 40 percent from 45 percent. The students said the while varsity has already issued notification regarding a chance to 2015 batch students to revise the internal assessment, the colleges are not paying any attention towards it.

On the other hand, the Student Federation of India today complained that the Post Graduation students are still not able to deposit their fees due to errors in varsity’s online portals. The varsity has extended the date for depositing fee after the students met the Dean of Studies yesterday, however, the errors in the portal were still not fixed.
