Shimla Bus Accidents: 21 killed, 59 injured

Twenty-one persons were killed and 60 injured in two separate incidents involving Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses in Shimla district on Wednesday. According to police, the HRTC bus heading towards Shimla from Sabera Khud skidded into a deep gorge at around 3 pm near Majyalu Curve. Bodies of 21 passengers were recovered and those of four seriously injured ones were and shifted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla for treatment. Another vehicle of the state roadways fleet was involved in an accident at Theog in Shimla district, leaving 55 passengers injured. Three of them were grievously wounded. Police said the vehicle was heading towards Shimla from Janahan. ~ Times of India/HT
