Shimla Murder – Dead body found in Longwood forest with severely damaged genitals

SHIMLA- A man was found murdered near Longwood in Shimla on Tuesday. The victim, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, appears to be a migrant.

A Barmu village resident, Tulsi Ram, informed the police about the body lying on a road leading to Barmu village. The police have sent the body for postmortem and report is awaited. Preliminary investigation by police suggests that the victim was strangulated with a muffler and was also robbed as nothing except an empty wallet was found.

Shimla additional superintendent of police Bhajan Dev Negi said, “It seems that the murderer searched thoroughly the victim’s pockets as the police found an empty wallet, some chewing gums and a cigarette lighter. The victim was in his 20s and appeared to be a migrant hailing from Nepal or may be from Bihar.” According to Negi, the murderer attempted to remove all of his belongings to make it difficult for police to ascertain his identity. The genitals of the victim were severely damaged. Hindustan Times
