Shimla suffers ‘ Obsessive Garbage Burning and Littering’ syndrom
Clicked on 8 June 2014. A couple of years ago, New ISBT was built for the Shimla public. It was clean, beautiful, and solved the space trouble for Shimla. As crowd grew, the chai walas mushroomed near it. No issues with their earning livelihood, but their disposable cups and plates end up into forest or onto roads or set on fire. Garbage burning in open is so common here and nobody really bothers about it. Why we Indians can’t tolerate cleanliness and hygiene? Why we destroy if anything new, better is provided with? We need to work on it, a lot.
