Swine flu claims third life in Himachal

SHIMLA – Swine flu clamied another life in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, taking the toll to 3 deaths in last 5 days. The victim, Ishwar Dev, 66, from Bilaspur district, was admitted at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMCH) in Shimla.Himachal Pradesh health and family welfare minister Kaul Singh Thakur visited IGMCH on Friday and said that IGMCH has set up one more isolation ward for swine flu patients. He also ordered officials to install another testing machine to ensure speedy test reports. IGMCH senior medical superintendent Dr Ramesh Chand said that so far samples of 17 persons have been found positive for H1V1 virus out of 60 suspected samples sent for tested. ~ TNN
