Himachal Pradesh Cabinet decides to withdraw HP Town and Country Planning
The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, today decided to withdraw the HP Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Ordinance, 2014 and deliberated upon to bring a revised Ordinance instead.
The Cabinet, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, took the decision after taking the suggestions and objections from the general public.
Official sources said the Cabinet also approved the updated HP Town and Country Planning Rules, 1978 so as to make these compatible to present requirements and functional convenience.
It also gave its approval to open Primary Health Centre at Basadhar in Tehsil Theog and also at Naura in Chopal in this district besides opening of Police Posts at Chadhiar and Multhan under Baijnath Police Station and at Baroh under Nagrota-Bagwan Police Station in Kangra district. It also approved a Police Post at Jalog (Tharu) under Sunni police station in this district, the sources said. The Cabinet also gave its nod for establishing Government Engineering College at Kotla (Jeori) in Shimla district. This decision was taken on the lines of the announcement of Chief Minister made on Independence Day celebrations at Nahan.
In a move to enhance the revenue of the Government and to give fillip to the Industries in the State, the Cabinet has decided to enhance the rate of entry tax from the existing 3 per cent to 5 per cent in case of goods purchased by all Government Department, Boards and Corporations, locally or from outside.
