Glimpses of Shimla Auckland house (girls) inter school fancy dress competition
SHIMLA- Auckland house school for girls organized an inter school fancy dress competition in school here today.
The competition was divided into two categories that is junior in which students from class 1 to 8 participated and in senior class 9 onwards.
Based on themes character from fairy tales; eat healthy, Environment Issues and Social Evil, students were seen dressed to depict Child Labor, Acid Attack, Domestic Violence, Sex worker Red Riding hood, nature, earth, tress, honey bee, vegetables, fruits and ailing teeth Dowry to name some.
Various schools including DAV New Shimla, DAV Lakkar Bazaar, St. Edwards, Auckland House for boys and girls, Loreto Convent Tara Hall, Convent of Jesus & Mary, Monal and Chapslee participated in the fancy dress competition.
Meenakshi faith Paul ex alumina of Auckland and lecture of English department Evening College and Neela Bali lecture St Bede’s college were present as chief guests for the day, which extremely enjoyed the performances of the students.
The result of the competition was as follow
In Group A winners included St. Edward first, Convent of Jesus & Mary second, Monal Public School third and consolation prize to DAV Lakkar Bazzar.
Group B – DAV New Shimla first, St. Edward second, Convent of Jesus & Mary third and consolation prize to Monal Public School.
Group C – Loreto Convent Tara Hall first, Auckland House for girls second, DAV New Shimla third and consolation prize to Convent of Jesus & Mary.
Group D – Loreto Convent Tara Hall first, Convent of Jesus & Mary second, Auckland House School for girls third and consolation prize to Monal Public School.
