Judges applaud talent at ‘Just A Minute’ & Story Writing competition organized by Auckland House School
SHIMLA- Auckland House School organised JAM (Just A Minute) & Story Writing competition to mark the Sesquicentennial celebrations on June 15. Prof Mita Biswas was the resource person for the art of ‘Story Telling Workshop’. Prof Biswas acquainted the students with prerequisites of writing a good story. Prof Biswas also laid stress on the need for lucidity & right choice of words in a good story.
JAM competition was held in two categories. In Category A, the first, second, and third positions were secured by Convent of Jesus & Mary, St. Luke’s Solan, Auckland House School respectively. A consolation prize was awarded to Auckland House School for Boys. In Category B, Auckland House School, Convent of Jesus & Mary & St. Luke’s Solan grabbed first, second, and third positions respectively. DAV Lakkar Bazar received a consolation prize.
Story writing competition was divided into two categories. In both the categories A & B, first three positions were bagged by Auckland House School, Convent of Jesus & Mary, St. Luke’s Solan respectively. DAV Lakkar Bazar took home a consolation prize.
The judges for the competition, Prof. Mita Biswas and Dr Meenakshi Faith Paul, were unequivocal in their praise of talent exhibited by the participants.
