Bahra University announces various scholarship schemes for students
SHIMLA – Bahra University has announced various scholarship schemes for students. Speaking about the various scholarships, the Vice Chancellor of the University Dr SK Bansal informed that a student without parents/orphan is given a hundred percent fee waiver, while fatherless student(s) needs to pay only fifty percent of the total fee.
He also emphasized varsity’s efforts to provide quality education to a girl child. He added that in a bid to encourage higher education for girls, a single girl child is waived off fifty percent of the tuition fee.
Further, he disseminated information about merit based scholarships in which a student securing first to third positions in the university is given a twenty five percent fee waiver.
Dr. Bansal further added that fee concessions are given to students while seeking admissions on the basis of their marks in the qualifying exams. In case a student has a brother or sister studying in any campus of the Rayat-Bahra Group, a fee concession is given to both the students. Dr. Bansal claimed that Rayat Bahra Group awarded scholarships amounting to Rs. 8.5 Crores in the year 2015.
