Teenager forces 7-year-old girl to drink liquor, then rapes and strangle her to death in Baddi

SHIMLA– Himachal Pradesh wasn’t crime free, but recently the number of even most heinous crimes is increasing. In another such case, on Tuesday, a 7-year-old girl was reportedly raped and later strangled to death by a teenager in Baddi area of district Solan.  The accused has been identified as a native of Uttar Pradesh and works in a private company. The police said that the age of the accused is about 19 years, however, it did not ruled the possibility of his being a juvenile.

As per the police report, the little girl was the daughter of a migrant couple (West Bengal), who worked in a factory. On February 20, the couple found their daughter missing when they returned from their work at evening. They searched for her but didn’t find any success. In between, the elder brother of the girl was informed by some local that his sister was seen with a migrant youth on the day she went missing.

They lodged a complaint in the Women Police Station in Baddi. The police traced the suspect using the description given by the informant and detained him.
