HP Govt announces 4% DA for employees and pensioners

Shimla – The Himachal Pradesh Government has today announced a four percent Dearness Allowance (DA) for the State employees and pensioners. The allowance from January, 2017 will be incorporated in salary of September, 2017 and will be paid in October.
The emoluments of contract employees were enhanced from 50 per cent to 75 per cent of grade pay. Wages of daily wagers were increased from Rs 150 to Rs 210, informed the Chief Minister who was presiding over the 71st State Level Independence day celebration function at Rampur in Shimla district.
He further said the government has established Kaushal Vikas Nigam to implement Rs. 640 crore ADB assisted Skill Development Project.
The government organized 42 job fairs and held 949 campus interviews in which About 31,991 youth were provided employment in private sector.

Social security pension was enhanced from Rs. 450 to Rs. 700 per month that has benefited around 3, 89,168 old-aged, widows and physically challenged, the Chief Minister claimed.
About 9600 posts were filled in the education department and 1485 new Government Schools were or upgraded, he said.
