Rustication, arrests, police lathicharge, now short attendance to scare protesting students
There are a number of weapons in the hands of the HPU administration to scare the students to prevent them from joining the ongoing protest of the students against unreasonable fee hikes and demanding restoration of SCA elections. Calling upon students to immediately resume classes, HPU Vice-Chancellor ADN Bajpai said: “The UGC guidelines will be strictly adhered to and students having short attendance will have to bear the consequences. Students should ensure that they fulfil the mandatory condition of 75 per cent attendance as short attendance would not be condoned.”
It doesn’t make sense when RUSA has proved to be a big failure at HPU. What sense does it make to follow rules under a malfunctioning education system.
