Should Virbhadra take responsibility and step down like Nitish Kumar?
The Hindu Writes
“Quoting the example of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s resignation a day after the defeat of the Janata Dal-United in Bihar, the BJP advised Mr. Virbhadra Singh, whose wife also lost the election from Mandi Parliamentary constituency, to resign after the complete rout of his party under his leadership. Ms Pratibha Singh, the sitting Congress MP from Mandi lost to a BJP beginner Ram Swaroop Sharma by about 40,000 votes. The embarrassing defeat of the Congress under the leadership of Mr. Virbhadra Singh has also created an unease within the party circles. The Chief Minister, who is facing corruption charges and a probe by the CBI, might not be supported by the party high command any longer, said the party insiders.”
