Shimla MC Staff Believes Dogs Do Not Bite On Holidays

Over 40 cases of “mad dog bite” have been reported in Shimla City within the last week. Shimla MC had issued a helpline number and urged citizens to report any incident of mad dog attack or dog bite immediately on this number – 0177-1916. However, when we tried to call (On April 14 – A holiday) on provided number to check before informing the same over our platform, we received the reply, “Incoming facility on this number is currently not available”. Shimlaites, so you are compelled to live in fear, Sorry!

When we searched on web regarding the number, we came across an FB post of one of citizens,
Vishwanath Sood, saying, “I was told that since today happened to be Sunday, a HOLIDAY, no action could be taken to trap these dogs and that I should WAIT”
