Angry mob at Shimla Court Complex roughs up Yug murder accused
SHIMLA- On Saturday morning, public anger over cold-blooded murder of 4-years-old Shimla boy erupted when two of the arrested accused, Tejinder Pal and Chander Sharma, reached Shimla District Court Complex in Chakkar for hearing. Public grabbed the accused and thrashed them badly and showered kicks, fists, and slaps until police somehow managed to rescue them and take back to the police station.
Both accused were brought to court premises in the morning under heavy police security, but public lost temper when they entered the complex. Considering the worsening situation and unable to control enraged public, both accused were taken to Boileauganj Police Station to be produced in court later today.
Mob had also tried to attack accused yesterday when they were taken to Ram Bazaar to recreate the crime scene, but were saved by commandos who were deployed to ensure their safety. The accused and their families are facing boycott from all sections of society after CID arrested and made three men admit their heinous crime – kidnapping Yug Gupta for ransom and then killing him by throwing into a Municipal Corporation water tank near Kelston, Shimla.
The advocate community has made a call for a complete boycott of the culprits in which no advocate will take their case as defense lawyer.
