Picture shows Indian Army soldiers carry a coffin containing the body of a colleague, who was allegedly killed by Pakistani soldiers, at Rajouri, India, on Wednesday. India summoned Pakistan’s top diplomat in New Delhi to formally complain about an attack on an Indian army patrol in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir that killed two soldiers. Defence minister AK Antony called the killing by Pakistani troops “highly provocative” and said, “the way they have treated the body of the Indian soldiers, it is inhuman”

Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday summarily rejected India’s claim that the Pakistan Army was responsible for the killing of two Indian Army jawans on the Indian side of the LoC. Taking a belligerent stand, Khar said that the Pakistan government is appalled at the suggestion that Pakistan troops were involved in the incident and stressed that her country respects the ceasefire that is in force since 2003.
