Capt. Saurabh Kalia isn’t given any official bravery award? Why?
Came across this article in New York Times and it asked why not give Caption Kalia an official bravery award despite this “On June 9, 1999, the Pakistani authorities returned their bodies to India. Captain Kalia’s death certificate was filled with phrases like “both eyeballs damaged,” “multiple lacerated wounds — mouth, upper and lower lip, right shoulder, right forearm, right hand,” and “burned all over the chest.” (The certificates for the other members of the patrol were similar.) This happened during India’s brutal Kargil war with Pakistan.” (Source Article)
