Himachal Pradesh approves annual Plan of Rs 4,800 crore

SHIMLA – Himachal Chief Minister today said the state government had proposed an annual plan of Rs 4,800 crore for 2015-16 which was 400 crore higher than the previous annual plan. Social Services sector has been accorded top priority with allocation of Rs 1,842 crore which was 38.37 per cent of the total plan while provision of Rs 1,209 crore has been made under Schedule Caste Sub-Plan, Rs 432 crore under Tribal Area Sub-Plan and Rs 60 crore under Backward Area Sub Plan. He said that considering the importance of Transport and Communication sector, Rs 887 crore has been proposed for this sector which is 18.5 per cent of the total plan outlay while an outlay of Rs 642 crore has been proposed for Energy sector. For Horticulture and Agriculture sector the proposed outlay is of Rs 512 crore which was 10.7 per cent of the total Plan outlay. ~ PTI
