NIT Hamirpur ragging cases: 28 students suspended

NIT Hamirpur :28 engineering students at the National Institute of Technology in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh have been suspended after they were found guilty of ragging freshers.

The 2nd year students have been asked by the college management to vacate hostels with immediate effect and barred from any campus accommodation for the next one year.The institute has had a history of such incidents in the past as well. In 2011, 3 students were arrested for ragging and inflicting injuries to juniors.
