MC Shimla’s JCB machine causing daily traffic jams at Khalini
Even after complaints from traffic police, MC Shimla doesn’t remove their JCB machine, parked on the narrow road at Khalini that causes daily traffic jams.
Due to some fault in one of the JCB machines of MC Shimla, it has been left parked on the already congested main road that connects upper Khalini Chowk to the Shimla bypass road. The place is suffering from huge traffic jams from the past four days and to overcome the traffic jams, Shimla traffic police is forced to divert the heavy vehicles on the one way road, which otherwise is not open for heavy vehicles like buses as its very narrow and crowded. When one of HW community’s members talked regarding the same to a traffic police personal at duty on the Khalini Chowk, he complained that the JCB belongs to MC Shimla and is creating long traffic jams everyday from the last 4-5 days.
He further told HW that MC Shimla is not responding to their regular complaints and that even he himself has personally approached MC Shimla office twice with the same request of removing the machine as soon as possible. The normal crane, which is usually used to lift the vehicles by traffic police, isn’t able to lift the heavy JCB machine and that makes them helpless, left with no option but to approach MC Shimla, he added.
Now, we would like to admire MC Shimla for such a great concern for the public convenience. It doesn’t bother them if the public is suffering huge traffic jams everyday during the peak hours when most of the people are getting late for their offices. We are well aware of your stubbornness and ignorant attitude but, sometimes, have mercy on the public and, at least, avoid creating mess for Shimla if you can’t do anything constructive.
Please, for the sake of the public, get that machine removed from the spot. It’s an issue of immediate concern. Don’t put it in progress. We fear MC Shimla’s ‘in progress’ status never changes to solved and if some one pushes too hard, then the office doesn’t even hesitate to send false and misleading information to avoid action.
The copy of the same has been submitted to MC Shimla and we are waiting for the response from the department
