SHIMLA- Taking a dig at opposition, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Virbhadra Singh slammed Bhartiya Janata Party over its claims of construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.  He said BJP exploited the sentiments of common man and played politics even in the name of God in order to win 2014 Assembly elections.

Merely by saying Jai Shri Ram does not make one a ‘Parama Bhakta’ (a staunch devotee). Bhagwaan Ram is for everyone and not a patent of BJP,

Said the CM.

India is observing the 24th anniversary of the Babri Mosque demolition, now those who demolished it are looking at the Supreme Court for a favorable verdict, clearance for construction of the Ram Temple.

Virbhadra questioned the claims of BJP alleging that  BJP just want to make propaganda in name of Ram temple and nothing else.  BJP people till date were unable to construct the Ram temple, he remarked.  If they can’t do it, they may leave the decision to the people, he said, adding that if BJP was given free hand they can divide people in the name of God. The people of the State are well aware of their evil designs. God and Goddesses are not the personal property of an individual and are worshipped by one and all, he said.

He informed that provision of Rs. 10 crore has be made for constitution of  ‘Gauvansh Samvardhan Board’.  He called upon people to voluntarily come forward for creating awareness and open ‘ Gau Shalas’ .

It is against the Indian culture and ethics to discard and abandon the cows after they stop giving milk

said the CM

He added that the Government will encourage the Non Governmental Organisations and Panchayats to strengthen the existing ‘Gau -Sadans’, and open new ones to house and feed stray cattles for which they would be suitably assisted. The government would award the best Gau-Sadan for providing care and shelter to cattles.
